Halloween Dracula Puppet Dog

It’s funny that Halloween is around the corner and I just found these pictures of my Dracula Puppet dog on my backups from the time I was working in an advertising agency. Oh my! I can’t explain how much I miss those days and how much I loved working there.

That was one of the funniest day of my life there. We used to have what in advertising we call Creative Fridays. That was a day of pure creativity usually on a specific subject. Since it was Halloween we set a Friday Halloween Puppet Show for everybody in the agency. We worked in teams and we brought our shows.

Ours was about silly jokes {Spanish jokes}. We laughed so much. I miss them so much!

These were my awesome partners and friends from the creative department

Aaaanyway, going back to this LOL, I made this dog puppet using a pattern I found on internet. The website is PuppetPatterns.com.  They have all kinds of patterns to make cute puppets. By that time I think I got lucky and I got it for free but now when I went to find it again, it turned out to be for sale now =(.

That was like 4 years ago, maybe more when I was living in Venezuela and I had my beloved sewing machine! As soon as I saw those dogs I told myself I have to make it and I did. But of course it was Halloween so, I added some details such as fangs and a Dracula cape LOL.

I used towel fabric for the body, black leather for the nose and paws, black lining fabric for the cape, red felt for the tong, cream cotton fabric for the mouth inside and plastic eyes and of course a lot of stuffing!

The puppet was controlled from the back. I could insert my whole hand through the back to the head =D. I looove it!

Sadly I wasn’t blogging then so I don’t have any step by step of the process or pics of the Puppet alone and I gave it away to a friend when I left the agency. But I really wanted to share what I created in the past. I had so much fun making it.You could check the website, they explain how to make it so well, and it was easy to follow!.

I hope you like it even though this time the photos aren’t that good. But hey it was worth it sharing! Happy Halloween Booooo!!!!! LOL

What do you think??? Have you made a puppet before??? Tell me all your thoughts in comments!
