Equipment

  • Stainless steel or glass medium bowl.
  • Spoon
  • Jar

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Coarse Sea Salt {dead sea salt kosher salt, or any other coarse salt}
  • 1 ½ Cups Epsom Salt
  • 1/3 Cup of Baking soda.
  • Your favorite essential oil scent {I used 2 types Roses Essential Oil and Rose-Champagne body oil}.
  • Food coloring {optional I used red to make it pink}

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl stir all dry ingredients.
  • If you are coloring the salt, add a few drops to the mixture and stir well. Add one drop at a time while mixing until you get the desired color.
  • Last but not least add your essential oil. Add as many drops of rose oil as you desire. Of course, the more you add the stronger it will smell.
  • Pour the salt into the jar and decorate it as you love! I made a label for the lid and used pink and white thread with satin rose on each end. Looks so cute.
  • I also created some cute labels or tags to make the gift even more special. I’m sharing them free of charge.
  • If it’s a gift, print out the free labels and put it on the lid or hanging from the twine.
  • There you go!
