The Overall White, Pink and Gold Christmas Tree Look
This year, I wanted a tree that felt both cozy and elegant, so I chose my flocked tree to start with. The snowy effect adds instant magic and creates a beautiful backdrop for the pink, rose gold and gold accents. The soft, muted palette of the tree feels warm and welcoming, yet itโs still festive enough to bring in the holiday cheer.
The lights are always key to creating that magical glow. I opted for warm white lights to keep everything soft and welcoming. They reflect beautifully off the ornaments, especially at night when the tree really shines.
To take the snowy effect up a notch, I created a faux boa garland using strips of faux fur and draped it around the tree. This added an extra layer of texture and really intensified the wintery, snow-covered look. The soft faux fur blended perfectly with the flocking, making the tree feel like itโs straight out of a winter wonderland.
A mix of gold ribbons and pink blush-like velvet ones are woven throughout the tree, adding a touch of shimmer and texture. I love how the ribbons create movement and depthโthey really help tie the whole tree together.
One little trick I learned over the years: when adding ribbon, don’t just wrap it around. Instead, tuck sections of the ribbon deep into the tree branches and let them cascade out in different directions. This adds more dimension and makes the ribbon feel like part of the tree, not just a wrap-around accessory.
The Ornaments
I love mixing different shapes and finishes to keep things interesting. This year, I went with a blend of round personalized glitter ornaments, glittery wooden letter cutouts, felt hearts stars and trees, and my personal favorites: the flocked pinecones and memory keepsake snow globes.
The pink, gold, and white ornaments tie the color scheme together, but itโs the personalized ornaments that really make the tree special.
Each member of my family has a custom glitter ornament with their name on itโthey add such a personal, heartfelt touch to the tree. If youโre looking to add a bit of personality to your tree, custom ornaments are the way to go!
You can DIY them with glitter and vinyl decals, or order pre-made ones to save time.
One tip for arranging ornaments: I like to place the larger ones deeper into the branches and keep the smaller, more delicate ones on the outer edges. This adds depth to the tree and keeps the more fragile ornaments safe from bumps.
Since I have a thing for owls and gnomes, I could help it but pluck some fluffy white owls and white/pink gnomes in some strategic places. They are not obvious but they definitely add up to the overall wintery look.
To incorporate the rustic vibe I added some cute wooden ornaments with cutout deer faces and stars. These were on sale and I couldnโt resist the temptation. They are so cute.
Then as filler ornaments I used gold, pink and white baubles spread around the whole tree.
The Topper
For the tree topper, I went for a rustic wooden star. I love how it brings a natural, earthy element to the otherwise elegant tree. The starโs simple, wooden design contrasts beautifully with the pink and gold decorations below, grounding the whole look.
If youโre unsure about what to use for your topper, donโt feel like you have to stick with tradition. Stars, angels, and bows are great, but you can also experiment with other shapes and materialsโwhatever feels right for your theme.
One little trick for a fuller look at the top is to add a few sprigs of faux greenery or flowers around the topper. This fills in any gaps and makes the top of the tree feel more complete and balanced.
The Tree Skirt
To finish off the look, I added a fluffy white tree skirt that feels like freshly fallen snow. Itโs simple but adds so much warmth and coziness to the base of the tree. I love how it contrasts with the burlap collar on top, giving it that perfect mix of rustic and soft.
Want to know a little secret? The fur os not even a real skirt, itโs a large piece of faux fur that I cut and turned into a tree skirt.
The final touch, and it wouldn’t be me nehind this decoration if I didn’t include my cute gnomes. This year I got new the cute little pink gnome and white reindeer and as I do every year my Included my beloved Willfurrrr-d (the old gnome) ha!
Thereโs always a way to solve things in a creative way!

Decor Tips
- Whether itโs a color palette or a specific style, having a theme in mind will help guide your ornament and accessory choices. It makes the whole process smoother and creates a cohesive look.
- Mixing large and small ornaments helps fill out the tree and adds depth. Donโt be afraid to tuck larger ornaments deeper into the branches.
- From shiny baubles to fluffy ornaments, adding different textures keeps the tree visually interesting. You can play with materials like velvet, glitter, glass, and wood to create contrast.
- Start by stringing lights deep into the branches, then work your way out. This creates a warm, even glow and makes the tree feel more magical at night.
- For a professional look, tuck your ribbon into the branches rather than just wrapping it around the tree. This helps it blend with the ornaments and gives the tree more dimension.
- This yearโs Christmas tree has brought so much warmth and joy into our home, and I hope this breakdown inspires you to create your own magical holiday centerpiece. Whether you go for soft pinks and golds or your own unique theme, the key is to make it personal and have fun with it!
