Hello lovely friends. Today I brought a delicious recipe perfect for cold days. I know in many places is still winter and here where I live is cold most of the year so a soup is always welcome! Mom and I made this delicious Bacon and green peas soup and I must say it was delicious!!!

Mom and I love easy peasy recipes. We both like making quick meals full of flavor and of course full of love! So this one make a perfect dinner.

Since we made this soup together, this recipe is being shared on my mom’s blog in Spanish and here in English =D.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound {500gr.} Frozen Green Peas
  • ¼ {100gr.} pound sliced bacon.
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 stick of celery
  • 2 medium potatoes
  • ½ liter of vegetable stock.
  • Salt and pepper as you desire.
  • Heavy cream {optional}

Directions:

Cut vegetables in small pieces.

On a big pot fry the bacon over high heat until crunchy.

Add in onion, celery, potatoes, salt and pepper and mix them letting all vegetables to golden.

Add in the green peas and mix and stir in the stock.

Cook over medium-low heat until green peas are soft.

Let it cool and blend it to create a creamy texture.

To serve, heat it a little bit and enjoy!

You can add a table spoon of heavy cream on your soup to add some flavor and texture and also add some crushed fried bacon on top! Tastes so good!

This soup is so good and you can never go wrong with bacon LOL. It keeps you warm and believe me is so good!
