Directions:
Make the Chocolate cream
- In a medium pot, pour the condensed milk and both chocolates over low-medium heat. Mix until well combined.

- Pour the cornstarch mixture into the pot with the chocolate mixture and mix until combined.
- Bring to a simmer over low heat while constantly stirring with (a wooden spoon or whisk) to avoid scorching until it’s thickened.

Recipe Tips
- While making the cream, make sure you cook on low heat and stir constantly. This avoids scorching until thickened.
- Don’t stop just graham crackers, vanilla wafers, honey grahams taste so good, chocolate wafer crumbs, or crushed Oreos, Oh my! Also granola or nuts are great additions.
- Bananas can be replaced by Strawberries which go so well with chocolate too.
- Let this cake sit in the fridge until cold.
- If you won’t be serving it the same day, don’t add the whipped cream yet. Wait until it’s ready to be served.
Recipe Variations
- Add other fruit to the layers of your choice. You can use sliced strawberries and red berries are great.
- Use cocoa chocolate, unsweetened chocolate, or semisweet chocolate instead of nesquick.
- You can add a tablespoon of espresso coffee to intensify the chocolate flavor.
- Make one single large parfait by using a nice glass pyrex or ceramic pan.
Storage Tips
- Refrigerate the parfaits until cold.
- These parfaits need to be refrigerated at all times. Covered loosely or packed in an airtight container, it can last in the fridge for 1-2 days.
- Normally you can keep a frozen parfait in the freezer for a couple of weeks, but because you want to retain some crunch from the cookies or crackers, which gradually get soggy in the cream, it’s best made a maximum of 1 week ahead. I don’t really recommend it though.
