For this year I clearly knew what theme I wanted to go for and my friendโฆ I love that I was able to make it happen even if it was just a little bit. I am crazy in love with blue and white Christmas decor.
Welcome to my 2022 blue and white Christmas decor living room tour with lots of classic gold, whites, and shades of blue as my focus point!
To me is so exciting to share with you some of the Christmas decorations that we put up in our home, in hopes that it inspires you for your own decorating (even though I know Iโm a bit late this year).
This yearโs Christmas Home Tour will be shorter as I didn’t decorate as many rooms as usual. I focused mostly on the living room and added a small touch to the entryway.
However, this post will show that I love the holiday so much and that I donโt spend much to make it cozy, gorgeous and expensive-looking although I didn’t spend much. I used a variety of adornments, textures, and colors to make it bright and wintery. I hope you like itโฆ
Now, every time I enter my living room it feels so cozy, festive, and enjoyable. Perfect for a movie night with some Hallmark movies, Delicious hot chocolate drinks and of course, popcorn!
So, Welcome!
The Entryway
To me, itโs important to welcome people to my home, especially during the Holidays. I love creating a warm entryway decor even though natural light is inexistent in that space of my apartment.
I always make a new Christmas wreath for our front door but this year I decided to use same as last year because I loved it so much. Last year, I made a felt leaf wreath perfect for both Christmas and wintertime!
As soon as I open the door you can see our Entryway table. Placed a DIY Pallet board {which is not actually a pallet but looks kind of like it}. I hung a white twig wreath with a โWelcomeโ Sign on it.
Then on my vintage buffet โ which I decided to move to the entryway, I put some wood slices to create different levels and put some bottle brush Christmas trees with a pretty white reindeer next to them. Right in the center, I put our advent calendar, so my girl can get her gift when she comes back from school. and on the other end, there’s my lamp with a couple of candle holders and a small Santa greeting.
The Living Room
When you enter my living room you have a wide view of the whole space. If you have been around for a while you will probably notice that the living room changed quite a bit.
There’s no more dining space. We move it to the kitchen since it’s where we eat most of the time and turned the dining space into my office.
My apartment is very small and I have a living room/ family room/office in the same room as you can see LOL.
That doesnโt stop me from experimenting with decorations and variations.
Then the first thing that pops up is my big new Flocked Christmas tree Right next to our couch.
You will notice that I only have one sofa and LOTS of pillows and blankets. Haha. My obsession. I love how those cozy blankets make the room feel homey and warm.
This year we got a few new blankets in shades of blue/teal and styled them on each sofa’s arms. Then put some cozy and furry pillows in white, cream, gray and blue colors.
Finished it with 2 cute fellas a Christmas duck and a polar bear with a scarf.
My coffee table got a little love too with a cute centerpiece. While is very simple, I love how it looks.
Used some old books and put them together with a gorgeous blue ribbon and made a cute bow. On top, I put one cute reindeer. I set it on one side of the table.
Then on a circular tray, right next to the stack of books, I put some scraps of faux fur on the base and put 2 yarn cone trees with light strings around a glass candle vase, and two cute reindeer. I also sprinkled some small ornaments and pinecones around.
Behind the sofa, I placed these cute and funny gnomes and some more yarn Christmas trees in different sizes in the middle.
We have a new table next to the sofa, where we had to place our internet router. To hide it, I found a cute wooden crate and put the router inside. I can’t hide much more than that because it gets warm. So around it, I put some gnomes, a vase filled with blue, white, and gold ornaments, and a Christmas wood sign.
Below I set the nativity. Although it’s simple and minimalist, I love it so much. And above I created a simple vignette with some bottle brush trees, reindeer, and other decorating elements next to some candle holders.
On the wall, I hung a chalkboard with a flocked Christmas wreath hanging from it.
I decorated my TV Stand table as a mantel with a Greenery garland decorated with blue and white ornaments toward the back. Then put 2 yarn cone trees on each side followed by some cute reindeer and a NOEL wood sign.
Below it I just put one basket in each crate with cozy blankets and pillows.
The White Christmas Tree
Although I still kept some of the rustic vibes, this yearโs decorations tend to be a little more delicate and wintery making the focal point to the blue elements on the tree.
I decided to go with my flocked tree I got last year because I wanted a very wintery look, kind of a winter wonderland vibe. Thereโs just something about a white tree that makes Christmas so special
Thereโs a lot more warmth, coziness, and winter wonderland to it and Iโm enjoying my beautiful tree every minute of it.
This year I didnโt create any new ornament because I wanted to reuse past ones but tweaked them a little bit so they would look like a new one such as my feather ornament and others I just refreshed them like my beloved memory keepsake snow globe ornaments.
Then I reused my flocked pinecone Christmas ornament and my family monograms.
I also used gain the faux fur boa to add an even more wintery look.
My cute little white owls could not be left out. Then I added some different white ornaments โ some translucid, some solids and also added gold baubles and some light shade of blue ornaments too.
At the bottom of the tree, I decorated it with a faux fur tree skirt that I made myself with 2 yards of fur and made a cut from one side to the center so I could go aoudad the tree foot more easily.
Then I added some cute gnomes on top and side of a rustic crate. And finally put a couple of Ikea lanterns, one inside the crate and another one on the side.
This year I placed the Christmas tree right next to the couch in my living room and I enjoy laying down on it to watch the twinkling light on the tree. A lovely view for sure.
My Office
Last but not least there’s my office since it’s part of my living room now.
I put some yarn Christmas trees and gnomes around the shelves and a Christmas cloche next to my computer with a couple of bottle brush trees and a reindeer. Also, a couple of cute funny reindeers around my essential oil diffuser.
It’s fun to be working around a decorated and festive space.
Well, that’s it. Hope you enjoyed this Blue and White Christmas Decorations Home Tour.
I wish from the bottom of my heart that your Christmas is Merry and Bright. As blessed as mine is so far and most of all, hope Santa and our beloved baby Jesus bring joy and help you achieve all your dreams and goals for the next year!
Decorating Tips
When you have white decorating items, you can turn them into different themes with just a few new details. For example, I had my white Yarn cone Christmas trees. I added blue ribbon or blue twine and turned them into white and blue decorations.
Adding blue touches to white Christmas ornaments will give you that wintery vibe we love about white Christmas.
Try to always avoid permanent changes to your basic items, that way you can keep using them year after year by changing details so they look like a completely different decoration.
